The social security system needs reform, but not like this. It is clear that this was never about reform, it was about balancing the books at the expense of Disabled people. (1/4)

Because of tireless campaigning by Disabled people, DPOs and allies, the government have been under immense pressure, and they still threw everything at the bill to make sure it goes through. (2/4)

Removing PIP cuts from the bill is a positive step, but there is no guarantee the government will be open to true co-production. More likely, they will want us to engage in “co-producing cuts”. (3/4)

The bill still includes deeply harmful cuts to Universal Credit. The government should admit they made a mistake, drop this harmful bill and go back to the drawing board. (4/4)

Last week they came for PIP & Universal Credit. This week it’s EHCPs that provide vital support for D/deaf & disabled children. From welfare to education, this government is attacking our community from all sides. Is there any line they won’t cross? Inclusion London Disability Action In Islington

The Government’s new ‘Residential Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan’ regulations are a significant step backwards in the fight for equitable fire safety. We are deeply concerned that Disabled lives will be lost as a result. Read our full statement: buff.ly/zmkc5iJ

A small number of the voices we heard at this week's #BinUCBill rally, calling for the end of cruel cuts to #DisabilityBenefits. We will never stop fighting for our communities' right to exist and thrive in dignity and in peace. (more images on our Instagram + Facebook)
