In the current issue of Chem: #INCYPRO stabilized protein complexes with • exceptional longevity • new chain topology • reduced aggregation doi.org/10.1016/j.chem… Big congrats to the VU Faculteit der Bètawetenschappen & #incircular #startup teams! Supported by European Research Council (ERC) & European Innovation Council!

If anybody from Europe wants to apply through this to work on protein engineering and design in sunny Australia, let me know

Meet the Editor! Katja Glatz (Deputy Editor ChemistrySelect and Analysis & Sensing) is attending the Dutch Peptide Symposium 2024 (ow.ly/IY1c50S05nw) on behalf of ChemBioChem which will sponsor two poster prizes. Say hello and talk to her about all things publishing!

Very happy to have this review published about approaches to vacate codons during in vitro translation, making reprogramming and stalling more efficient. Fantastic piece of work by talented students Twan and Enno, who really put a lot of effort into it. doi.org/10.1002/ijch.2…

Having a great time at the Chinese Peptide Symposium in Hongkong, building new connections. But reinforcing old ones is good too! BeckerLab

Interested in peptide chemistry and mRNA display? We are, but found that we couldn't find a lot of literature on how chemically stable the encoding tag in mRNA display really is. And so we set out to answer that for ourselves, just published here doi.org/10.1002/asia.2…

Macrocyclic peptides really can do anything antibodies can! Together with @ThomSharp, Aimee Boyle and PhD student Sebastiaan Hamers, we've found a peptide that can activate complement and lyse membranes. All in a little 20-amino acids package. pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…

Small N-terminal macrocycle with a D-amino acid can stabilize alpha-helices. RaPID doesn't just generate new individual molecules, it can also summon up intriguing chemical motifs. Now out in JACS: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja… @fabian_hink David de Sancho Novo Nordisk Foundation UCPH Healthscience

Are you interested in macrocyclic peptide discovery, late-stage modification, or immune cell modulation? Come see Ryoji at poster P2.198 on the ground floor, where he uses chemically modified mRNA display to discover new macrocyclic glycopeptide ligands for immune cell lectins
