I spent the day watching my partner play cricket with his LGBTQ+ inclusive team. Before the match, they did introductions and invited everyone to share their pronouns — and everyone did. No rights were lost. No one spontaneously combusted. Just a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

India Willoughby Sir Pete is making the same mistake as other armchair pundits - he is trying to rationalise the irrational, and rejects it when he can't. Dysphoria isn't rational or logical, but nor is being gay or being left-handed. Such things just "are".

The Equality act is CIVIL LAW. Action can be taken against goods and service providers and employers if they breach the act. The remedy us damages. No one can be arrested or indeed sued under the act simply because they use the "wrong" toilet.

So I guess this must work the other way round - yes? If someone is imperceptible to your reasonable person from a c!s woman, anatomically female, with the only difference being that you don’t have a womb, a woman who’s trans would be ok? Because there’s zero external difference.
