Hello #AAI2025 ! Want to learn about how T cell receptor strength dictates CD8 T cell funtion? Grant is presenting his research on CD8 T cell clones with varying TCR strength and how it leads to differing responses in a murine model of pancreatic cancer. See you tomorrow!

Wow! We are crazy proud of Zoe Schmiechen for winning not 1, not 2, but three trainee awards this semester! Zoe was the recipient of the Milne/Brandenburg, J. Kaplan, and Bacaner awards. Thank you to all the committees who independently recognized Zoe's excellent research!

We had a great time at this year's Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Pancreatic Cancer Course! Ingunn gave a fantastic overview of pancreatic cancer immunology and Grant has had a weekend full of deep learning from faculty all around the country. Hope to do it again next year!

In today’s tough budget climate, restoring funding to FY24 levels is a major win – and a direct result of thousands of advocates who have contacted Congress in support of #pancreaticcancer research funding over the past few months. šŸ“£ This is a huge step forward – but it’s not

šŸ“°New paper from the lab! Using our transgenic TCR model we reveal that T cell beta-selection can be bypassed via a γΓ TCR alternative path that allows T cell maturation to continue. This path appears highly dependent on IL-7 signaling. Read here! academic.oup.com/immunohorizons…
