I caught up with Garrie Stockley who I’ve known through Greater Manchester Police for over 20yrs. Garrie who is ex Royal Navy before GMP, had to retire on medical grounds. It was amazing to hear how The Spearhead Foundation went round to his house to get him out after 6 months and he’s never looked back.

I chaired the Greater Manchester Police HMPPS Veterans in the Justice System group today. An informal group set up 2 yrs ago to bring together those who work in this area in our region. Not to change policies, just to exchange views, ideas and discuss blockages. So productive. #Collaboration

Had a welfare 1-2-1 with Greater Manchester Police armed forces network member. Told me what he'd experienced on many combat tours & how it affects him. He controlled his emotions until I asked how his family were coping. So glad he reached out. Lots of support accepted including Op NOVA
