Hunter Stokely smacks a two-run double with two outs, and UNC is out of the gate in a hurry here. 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning, kept alive by an Oklahoma throwing error that would’ve gotten the Sooners out of the frame.

More two-out damage. Carter French bounces a run-scoring single back through the middle and the lead is 7-2 now. Sooners making another pitching change here in the top of the third. Five of the Tar Heels’ seven runs have been produced with two outs.

Freshman right-hander Ryan Lynch is through four innings here with four strikeouts. He has scattered four hits and two walks. He went four innings in the ACC Tournament championship game when Carolina clobbered Clemson.

That’s all for UNC freshman Ryan Lynch, who leaves to a standing ovation here in the bottom of the sixth inning. Six strikeouts across a season-high five innings of work for Lynch, who lasted 82 pitches. Tar Heels still lead 8-2.
