Yesterday, students at Ashton Meadows P.S. had the chance to try out the Barbados national sport of road tennis. This sport that originated in Barbados has a long history that students are also learning about as part of a pilot that is taking place at multiple schools in YRDSB.

Last week students from Tommy Douglas S.S. had the chance to try out the sport of road tennis. In addition to trying out the game, students engaged in learning about the history of the game as well as its cultural significance in Barbados, where the sport was created.
