New research posted as a #preprint from our Ion Channel and Membrane Protein structural biology teams Leeds Integrative Membrane Biology

New #ionchannels publication from Leeds researchers Pliotas Group and Jon Lippiat featuring PELDOR/DEER spectroscopy and patch clamp of reconstituted mechanosensitive channels.

We're delighted that Tibor Rohacs is visiting us today. He will be delivering his seminar on "Regulation of TRPM Channels by G-proteins and phosphoinositides" at 2pm in RSLT23.

I am delighted to join the editorial board of The Journal of Physiology (the most prestigious and leading journal on physiology since 1878) as an editorial board fellow. Look forward to working with you Journal of Physiology to serve the whole community.

It's published! #ionchannels #kcnt1 #epilepsy Beth Cole (She/Her) Rachel Johnson Jeff H Dejakaisaya Fishwick Research Stephen Muench

Patch-clamp: Long shot; anyone know a patcher in the Liverpool area up for some short term/part time single-channel WORK on a great but easy project!? Even PhD student as part-time casual OK if can patch!! #ionchannels 👋Channelomics.bsky.social👋 Rainbow Lab CVS-UoL Dr Claire Feetham David Colquhoun 🇺🇦 💙

Delighted to share our latest work published today in Cell Reports on how intrinsically rapidly-inactivated PIEZO1 channels sense sustained mechanical force such as blood flow in endothelium. Thanks to our team in Leeds Cardiovascular and Toulouse. cell.com/cell-reports/f…

Proud that our work on understanding small-molecule modulation of #TRPC channels by #CryoEM has now been published in Communications Biology. Great work driven by David Wright with Dr Katie Simmons Rachel Johnson David Beech Stephen Muench from LICAMM The Astbury Centre @Astbury_BSL. rdcu.be/cbbn1

Congratulations to PhD student Faye Styles on publication of her British Heart Foundation funded research in CDD press nature.com/articles/s4141… We find that ion channel Kv1.3 links cell proliferation to mitochondrial metabolism through a non-conducting mechanism LICAMM Leeds Cardiovascular

Upcoming Webinar - Tuesday 29th June at 14.00 BST Jon Lippiat will talk about the discovery of KNa1.1 (KCNT1, SLACK, Slo2.2) channel inhibitors using virtual screening and CryoEM structures. If interested, register here: lnkd.in/e4QmeHA #ionchannels Metrion Biosciences
