Opening for an ERC funded postdoc position to decode context dependent genetic networks in Arabidopsis. You have experience in plant genetics and development, imaging, or genomics? Apply! Fantastic collaboration with Boutroslab Oliver Stegle and @wolfgangkhuber PLZ RT

The #GeneRegulationWorkshop 2022 will take place on 5. September Université de Lausanne. Great speaker lineup @cecerelab, Lab Nicola Iovino, Kaessmann Lab, marcelo nollmann, @PauliGroup, Edda Schulz, and free attendance in person or online! Please RT and register. generegulationworkshop.ch

“The chromatin community is standing on the shoulders of a giant & we will miss one of the most inspirational scientists and a true friend. His legacy will shine forever.” – Thomas Jenuwein on the passing of David Allis (Rockefeller University) ie-freiburg.mpg.de/in-memoriam-da…

Excited to share the paper just published in #ScienceAdvances from Lab Nicola Iovino demonstrating CBP & Gcn5 drive zygotic genome activation independently of their catalytic activity bit.ly/3LpI1RH & our review of the area on “Epigenetic Moonlighting” bit.ly/3N4wIzk

Our Special Guest Lectures Series is in full swing. Next week, we welcome a speaker again: Yi Zhang (Zhang Lab, Harvard University): “Embryonic development: Zygotic genome activation, genomic imprinting, and Polycomb silencing” - Friday, May 12, 2023, 11:00AM. Thanks to Lab Nicola Iovino!

Last week, attended the EMBL Conference for Chromatin and Epigenetics in Heidelberg. Learned so much! Thanks to the conference organizers Lab Nicola Iovino Asifa Akhtar, Prof Gary Karpen, Prof Yihudi Bergman, and Teichlab for having me! Beautiful campus and yummy cake 😋

🧠 Exciting News! 🌟 Dive into the fascinating world of #epigenomics changes in human #brainorganoid development! 🧬 Our work with Jonas (josch1@bsky), Treutlein lab D-BSSE, ETH Zurich, and Gray Camp Institute of Human Biology is now live! 🚀 🧵 (1/6) tinyurl.com/kebmbxj8

Fantastic work, shedding light on epigenetic regulation of brain organoid development! Jonas (josch1@bsky) Treutlein lab Fides Zenk Gray Camp

Fascinating results by one of our latest offspring. Fides Zenk, former Postdoc in the Lab Nicola Iovino, started her own lab recently. In the meantime, she also managed to work on epigenetic regulation of brain organoid development. 😄

The club is back: TriRhena Gene Regulation Club on January 2024 in Strasbourg. 3 years ago, we had to cancel the last Chromatin & Transcription Club. Now, teams from FMI science, IGBMC and the MPI of Immunobiology & Epigenetics bring back the event renamed »Gene Regulation Club«. ie-freiburg.mpg.de/gene-regulatio…

Yesterday, we hosted the #TriRhena Gene Regulation Club in Freiburg. More than 80 researchers from FMI science Basel, IGBMC Strasbourg, MPI of Immunobiology & Epigenetics & Faculty of Biology - University of Freiburg with a shared interest in #transcription, #chromatin, #gene expression & #RNA processing joined for the half-day symposium.

I am excited to join the Max Planck Institute in Freiburg as a Director! Grateful to all my colleagues for their incredible support. Thrilled to contribute to the fantastic scientific environment for epigenetic research here. ✨ @Iovino_lab MPI of Immunobiology & Epigenetics Max Planck Society #Epigenetics

Super proud of Filippo and Nazerke Atinbayeva for writing this insightful review on early embryo epigenetics.

There is a open position for a postdoc with computational skills at Lab Nicola Iovino jobs.ie-freiburg.mpg.de/jobposting/e9e… Dont miss the great opportunity
