Because Menstrual health is #MentalHealth We continue to create safe spaces where girls feel seen, supported when menstruating and empowering them with knowledge & lasting solutions to manage their periods with dignity under the COVA PROJECT Irise Institute East Africa Lillian Bagala

With support from Irise Institute East Africa we held a feedback session with Kirinya High School girls who received menstrual flow cups via the #COVAproject. They shared experiences, challenges & how the cups helped them manage periods with confidence & dignity. #EndPeriodPoverty

During the session, some girls said the menstrual flow- cups helped them feel more confident, worry less about leaks and kept them in class. Others shared fears, discomfort, and myths they had to unlearn. #EndPeriodPoverty Irise Institute East Africa Lillian Bagala

.Arise Integrated Development Effort, through the TPEN Small Grants, has empowered adolescents, both girls and boys including key school stakeholders in Mukono District to champion menstrual health and break the stigma surrounding it.
