This is a really important point of debate. The majority of council and NHS docs our #LDReporters wade through are packed with jargon from top to bottom. Whatever happened to the plain English drive in local authorities?

Great to have ⁦Daisy Smith⁩ talking to our multiplatform journalism and sports journalism students today about her reporting and bulletin reading ⁦Global⁩. We do a talk from a journalism professional every week ⁦UniofNorthampton⁩ #journalism

Inspiring message by remarkable journalist Gary O'Donoghue And such & important message for our blind journalism students to hear - & for those of us teaching them. Our students have to battle so much but they can and will achieve great things

So proud of this one. This time last year Zofia was finishing her journalism dissertation & final documentary for UniofNorthampton Now look at her! The value of those @BJTC Newsdays in spades!

A reminder to #journalism #students (and others) that any comment or speculation on this could now lead to a Contempt of Court charge and possible prison sentence. That law has been in place since 1981.

Absolutely essential - so pleased to see all those focused on providing high quality journalism education and training in the UK joining forces. We need properly trained journalists more than ever before...

Companies like Arconic sold their combustible cladding globally. They need to open their books and let regulators know where it has been installed. 3,800 people lived in the tower which burned in Dubai at the weekend. The next ACM PE disaster will not be in the UK

At this very moment the Home Secretary is talking tough about grooming gangs. Meanwhile today, my RASSO trial - listed for the third time, was yet again adjourned (to 2026), because there was no court. Allegations including rape, multiple complainants, from 2022/3.

91 available Crown Court rooms are shut today, including 5 of 18 at the Old Bailey. Today about 12 miles west at London’s Isleworth Crown Court trial dates of March 2029 and April 2029 are being scheduled as earliest “Court can offer”. “Radical” would be to pay to open courts.
