This right here is what we live to see.A new gene treatment from the lab that causes axons (green) to grow through a sharp injury (the cut)& an inhibitory scar (red)! The joy is 100x more when your student Yogesh Sahu discovers vs yourself 😁 Do read! shorturl.bz/t6s

We had a lab movie screening today of Picture a Scientist Gender bias is rampant in STEM but depending on who you talk to some will say it’s no longer a problem 🤷🏻‍♀️ I say drop what you’re doing & watch this if you’re in Science in any way/form/level. BECOME AWARE. It starts there.

Gotta say, Anusandhan National Research Foundation feels God-sent in terms of how they're handling proposals. Clear Guidelines, Dedicated helpline (wow) and (so-far) seamless web-portal. If the post-award procedures are this smooth, then salute🫡

For those applying to the recent Anusandhan National Research Foundation call, keep in mind it’s *mandatory* for PIs from National labs to have a Co-PI from an academic institution. Welcome move IMO, ❌ echo chamber collabs, forge new collabs which will ALSO strengthen academic research ecosystem. ✅✅

💡Anusandhan National Research Foundation Shivkumar Kalyanaraman Pairing National Lab researchers with academic PIs for ARG is spot-on! A keyword-tagged PI database within the ANRF website would turbo-charge matching and help those without connections or PIs who are uncomfortable with cold emails to potential Co-PIs.
