#VicBioCon23 brings exciting panel discussion with exemplary panellists e.g. ARC Laureate Fellow Prof. Madeleine van Oppen (@spectacularia), her research focuses on protecting coral-reefs using assisted evolution approaches. Join for this discussion University of Melbourne.

Check out our latest paper comparing the role of ROS and RNS during thermal stress in GBR Exaiptasia diaphana and Galaxea fascicularis. Huge thanks to everyone involved Justin Maire Wing Y Chan Isini Buthgamuwa LukaMeyers @crazycatzzz @spectacularia mdpi.com/2076-3921/12/5

The ISME ECSC is spotlighting Talisa Doering (Talisa_Doering), a University of Melbourne PhD student, and her paper “Genomic exploration of coral-associated bacteria: identifying probiotic candidates to increase coral bleaching resilience in Galaxea fascicularis.” microbiomejournal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11… (1/2)

So happy to put out my first first-author paper which looked at overall stability of the short-beaked echidna’s gut microbiome during gestation! Thank you Ashley M. Dungan, PhD (she/her) for guiding me through this project and giving me the opportunity to work on this little creature!

A small milestone in the academic journey but a much cherished one. Reaching 100 citations for my first author paper from my PhD published in The ISME Journal . Thankful to many who contributed and of course cited my work. #AcademicTwitter #coralreefs #coralmicrobiome

Our latest paper is out in The ISME Journal! Another one for my fellow Endozoicomonas nerds out there. We describe a new genus and species within the Endozoicomonadaceae family, Sororendozoicomonas aggregata (yes, it is a mouthful!). doi.org/10.1093/ismejo…
