6th grade students celebrated Pi Day by learning about Euclidean Geometry, specifically the study of circles, by measuring the diameter of treats; they then computed the circumference and area of the circles. They also created “Pi charts” to look at the decimal portion of numbers

Dr. Butler: For SY 2020–2021, Friday Exploratories will complement our afterschool Clubs to more fully augment our students’ experience. Future exploratories will run the gamut from golf to knitting to drama and many things in between.
