🗣3 key messages… 1️⃣ mortality is almost halved if seen by a geriatrician soon after injury. 2️⃣ the Clinical Frailty Scale is good for predicting mortality. 3️⃣ regular exercise, before injury, is protective of deterioration in hospital.

Patients with a Clinical Frailty Scale score of 6 are likely to experience functional decline if admitted to hospital. Important to prevent frailty-associated problems. Get specialist input and CGA #BGSconf
