I watched Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid with a friend and at the end found out he thought it was a genuine 1940s film. When I said "Didn't Steven Martin being in it give you a clue?", he replied "He looks a lot older in the Naked Gun films". He thought it was a young Leslie Nielsen.
