📣Despite promises to lower costs for everyday people, Trump and his allies are proposing budget cuts for essentials like food, healthcare, and education. By calling 202-224-3121 we can urge our Senators to vote no on reconciliation and #StopTheCuts. win.newmode.net/colorofchange/…

“Your bar license is not just a ticket to power—it’s a tool of public trust.” The extortion agreements between the White House and Big Law firms for nearly $1 billion in so-called “pro bono” services are a coordinated attack on the rule of law. My latest: salon.com/2025/04/19/dog…

Over the weekend Portia Allen-Kyle wrote a strong piece for Salon: “What’s happening right now is not a matter of opinion or partisanship — it’s a test of whether we believe in the foundational idea that the law should protect people, not just power.” salon.com/2025/04/19/dog…

Democracy cannot thrive in conditions of extreme wealth and inequality. Our tax code is a tool to rebalance power and redistribute wealth in society. We need to fight against policies that instead will create trillionaires instead of meeting the needs of workers and families

Shared some thoughts on #SaquonBarkley and his golf outing in this moment. TLDR: not the move, but accountability shouldn’t stop there. Check it out: huffpost.com/entry/saquon-b…

I showed up to hear my disgrace of a congressman Congressman Mike Lawler. After being forced to park a 15m walk away because police blocked the parking lot, I was turned away at the door because of a “no purse” policy. Needless to say mostly white men entered, many women left out.

It was an honor to join Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley and colleagues on the Hill today with our members of ColorOfChange standing against the tax cuts for billionaires on the backs of our families and communities. We are more than a line item. #cutthegreednotthepeople

The Los Angeles Dodgers pledged $1 million to help families of immigrants impacted by ICE raids across LA. This is a team valued in the billions and that made >$752m in revenue last year, a significant bit as local ticket sales. This is more of a “F you” than “help.” nytimes.com/2025/06/20/us/…
