Iran's Parliament reaching "the conclusion" the Strait of Hormuz should be closed is not closing the Strait. Decision lies with Supreme National Security Council, and in reality on the Supreme Leader. 'Conclusion' was probably ordered to be made public as a warning shot.

If the Iranian govt can be convinced that US strikes were 'one off' they may negotiate to ensure regime survives. However, for many Iranians who are concerned about the regime becoming more horrific internally, with more economic hardship, that can become a nightmare scenario.

Today's Iranian attacks on Israel (so far) consisted of 7 missiles. At first it was 200, 70, 60 20, 20 ..and now 7. 'Strategic Restraint' or running out of launchers? #Iran

That said..sirens going off again in Israel in last min. I'm sure Iran is massively depleted, but now may be firing in small salvoes to keep Israelis in shelters = economic pain, fatigue. If they launch 200 in one go it means Im wrong - but they are prob running out of missiles.

US air defences, THAAD, in action (prob from the US airbase) to intercept incoming missiles assumed to have been fired by Iran. Reports suggest 6 missiles. If that's it, and no fatalities - US may not escalate. If not....

Iran says it has 'pulverised' the US Airbase in Qatar. It really hasn't but they hope the gullible, and some of the Iranian public, think it has. Qatar gov statement says no casualties from the missile attack.Qatar not happy at having missiles fired at the country. #Iran. .

China to hold 1st joint military exercise Serbia late July in Hebei. Usually joint exercises would rotate but no word yet if Chinese troops will come to Serbia in return. Belgrade has close ties with Beijing . Serbia buys Chinese weapons but is mostly armed by Russia.

Iran still saying it will hold talks with US on nuke issue only if its allowed to continue enriching uranium and US sanctions are lifted acc to Tehran's ambassador to Moscow. Washington unlikley to go ahead on those terms.
