Heard in the bleachers (because Romulus said it directly to me), “I wasn’t even going to do Track this year, and now I’m crying because it’s over.” She tied for 5th in the pole vault.

There may have been a stadium record set for false starts that weren’t false starts today. I’ll have our stat guy look into it.

Evan Bartholomaus was kind of in a rut in the 400, but he got back on track today, running a 53.11 and finishing 7th, out of the slow heat.

Allison Luebben PR’d in the Long Jump, 14’7. She also ran a couple of strong anchor legs on our relays. And she made the finals of the 200.

The girls’ 4x200, Natalia-Zoey-Stevie-Allison placed where they were seeded, 20th. They’re all young ‘uns, so I predict they’ll be back next year…and the year after that.

The boys’ 4x200 team of Clay-Isaac-Quinn-Ben finished 4th in our heat, but our SCHOOL RECORD of 1:30.37 was fast enough to advance on time.

Rylie competed on a bum foot today, but still managed to clear 5’0 in the high jump and jump 17’ 0.5 in the long jump.

Quinn Landherr broke his own SCHOOL RECORD in the pole vault, clearing 13’ 6. It looks like he’s going to finish 4th.

Every hurdler falls. Sometimes it’s in practice, sometimes it’s the first week of April, and, unfortunately, sometimes it’s at State. When you fall, it’s important to get up and finish the race (if you’re able). That’s what Clay did, and he’s going to run well tomorrow.
