Lots of ifs. But *if* Mamdani wins and *if* Lander's vote share goes more to him than Cuomo (it's been fairly evenly split when he gets disqualified in polls) he will likely be celebrated by a movement that passed him over for Mamdani.

Given the current contours of the NYC Democratic primary, it's increasingly hard to see a scenario where Cuomo and Zohran both *do not* run in the general election. Unless something really changes, both men will have every incentive to fight it out to November.
