Excellent news - the Association for New Canadians has been expanding its reach in the last few years - it's vital to support newcomers outside St John's as 2/3 stay on the Avalon Peninsula but the main demographic crisis is in the rest of the province.

Three years ago, 37% of the doctors in NL were trained outside of 🇨🇦 - the second highest proportion in the country. Now it is 29%. The province can't directly influence the licensing system but it can ease the costs for immigrants who can help reduce our doctor deficit.
