Back at ZSL Science after meeting my CSIP colleague Matthew Westfield to relay transfer a Welsh stranded common dolphin and two angelsharks. #CSIOfTheSea exams to follow soon- sharks to be examined at the end of the year with colleagues from SIARC and Angel Shark Project

Heading back to ZSL Science from Ireland- helped Louise Overy and Jake Davies conduct a #CSIOfTheSea Angel Shark Project: Ireland demo exam of an Irish stranded #angelshark for an audience at Munster Technological University. Found dead stranded near Ballyvaughan in July- hope the attendees found it useful!

Excellent event MTU Biological and Pharmaceutical Sciences thanks to Louise Overy Rob Deaville Jake Davies and Irish Elasmobranch Group. Dissection of an Angel Shark that was found on the shore in co Clare. A critically endangered species. So cool to see one up close.

🦈 Tope Tracking Update! 2 female tope sharks, tagged in Cardigan Bay this summer, have been detected 100+ miles away in the Bristol Channel! Thanks to Swansea University for alerting us to the detections, helping to learn more about tope movements around the UK coastline.
