A joyful & rejuvenating weekend! One person said the whole weekend felt like a long-standing tradition & not our inaugural fest. One we all look forward to each year. My heart was full by end & Im deeply grateful to have been a part of it. Hats off to Daniel Fitzpatrick & Jordan Haddad

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Joie de Vivre festival down in Covington - a highlight (one of many) was Tim Gautreaux's keynote, and the chance to talk with him. More: amywelborn.wordpress.com/2025/05/23/tim…

So grateful for the way Joie de Vivre fest came together. Wonderful to spend time with Jane Clark Scharl James Matthew Wilson 🥕Haley Stewart🥕 Katy Carl Jeff Young Trampoline Poetry and to meet Tim Gautreaux. What a blessing. Plus glorious to see Grace read from her fairy tale collection!

"I’ve found that working with a palette knife...lets me layer on a lot of texture and focus more on the colors and shapes of a subject rather than getting caught up in tiny details." “Art, Faith, & Magazine Street," an interview w/ Casey Langteau Johnson jdvjournal.com/archive/art-fa…

Speaking of Harder, I have versions of a couple of his poems forthcoming in Joie de Vivre. Harder is very, very good. I also have a version of an epigram of his about Martial that I hope will appear somewhere someday.

So pleased with this. Amit Majmudar Steven Searcy Karen Ullo

It’s a treat to have a poem published in Joie de Vivre — the issues are full of beautiful art, including custom illustrations for each original poem. Many thanks to editor Daniel Fitzpatrick!

Mine in the new Joie de Vivre, breathtakingly illustrated by Blair Gordy Piras, a woman who clearly understands dogs. Thanks Daniel Fitzpatrick for opening your beautiful publication to me!

Listening to LSU baseball on the radio as I edit an article on Tolkien’s views of faith and art for Joie de Vivre. What a glorious evening.
