Trying to wrap my head around the US; today: women’s rights. This summary map in today’s The New York Times about abortion bans by state makes me angry. What world do we live in if this is what the most powerful country’s Supreme Court produces? Who can we trust?

New Piece by Hannah Leach and myself: ESG is here to stay, and Europe is driving the crowd. Let's learn from last years crises, losses and defaults and do some more due diligence, shall we?

The VC market is still calm - giving investors time to do due diligence. In a new column for ImpactAlpha, Hannah Leach and I argue that ESG is a good tool to prevent a new wave of hype, e.g. around AI. As the SEC is starting to clamp down on VCs, the imperative grows stronger!

Looking forward to my first time visiting Brown University and @banupan to talk about Erika Brodnock and my book on DEI in VC and tech. Anyone is welcome - register below!

VC diversity needs to change — and white men need to take responsibility | Dr Johannes Lenhard saying it loudly for the people at the back! Take a bow 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 sifted.eu/articles/vc-di…

The world hasn't understood the value of anthropology (and its libraries) -- go and read Kate's Op-Ed to hear some good arguments (and Gillian Tett's book anthro-vision: bit.ly/44xj26e)

Now back in London from five months of more intense writing in this beautiful building New York University IPK — thank you Caitlin Zaloom and Eric Klinenberg for having me! I’ll be back in September. Hit me up for London meet-ups (I’ll also be back here more again)!

Great session today King’s Entrepreneurship Lab with Erika Brodnock and Dr Johannes Lenhard on "#DEI still isn’t changing in venture capital and #startups — what can we do?", jointly organised with the Cambridge University Masters in #Entrepreneurship programme. Excellent questions from the audience!

Fantastic to hear Rachel Coldicutt in a panel on tech during #50yearswomenatKings King's College, Cambridge talk about the influence of money & power; we need to address finance, VC and capital rather than just technology when discussing e.g. AI (bonus point: Rebecca Love next to her).

Impact Voices: #ESG in VC Not seeing ESG for what it is “prevents potentially well-intentioned investors from driving real change and action,” write Dr Johannes Lenhard and Hannah Leach of Venture&ESG. impactalpha.com/debunking-six-…

In his research on VC investors in Silicon Valley and Europe, Dr Johannes Lenhard finds that biases significantly impact investment decisions, leading funders to back people that look just like them: white men. buff.ly/45R0r5w
