The WhittierES STEM community just learned the swing space planned for SY25-26 is still Sharpe School. Over 2 miles away & 30 min. ride by transit. This is going to disrupt the more than 80% of walkers that attend our school. We have offered solutions & no one is listening.

Well it’s another school year & our decades of HVAC issues persists. It’s going to be 97° today & our pre-K 4 classroom doesn’t have air. Why does the students & staff at WhittierES STEM continuously have to experience unsafe & unhealthy building conditions?

We can’t breathe 🥵! Why are DC Public Schools and DC Department of General Services continuing to put the health and safety of WhittierES STEM students & staff at risk? Why come into the building and fix one broken A/C. Thanks but what about the ones others… still waiting since 8/15/23 #SaveOurSchools
