Nerve transfer surgery may be able to help regain upper limb function reanimation after subacute and chronic paralysis in patients with cervical spinal cord injury; larger trials are needed. ja.ma/3GXFXyx Saad Javeed
Another JAMA Network Open publication from the Zack Ray Lab, which developed a clinical decision support tool for early nerve transfer surgeries in patients with cervical spinal cord injury. Congratulations to Saad Javeed on this impactful work! WashU Med Taylor Family Department of Neurosurgery
Great session organized by Aladine Elsamadicy, MD . Glad I was able to play a small part.
Congrats to our Postdoc Fellow Saad Javeed, MD (Saad Javeed) for receiving a Young Investigator Grant from the NASS. The award will allow Dr. Javeed and colleagues to clinically investigate electroactive instrumentation to enhance spine fusion. Center for Applied Neural Engineering
Meta-analysis: Although patients with depression often had worse spinal disease severity, they typically experience meaningful improvement in spine-related disability after lumbar spine surgery. ja.ma/498px0Z Saad Javeed Jacob Greenberg, MD, MSCI
New study in JAMA Network Open from Dr. Jacob Greenberg (Jacob Greenberg, MD, MSCI), Dr. Saad Javeed (Saad Javeed) & colleagues shows patients with depression still have meaningful benefit from #lumbarspinesurgery.:bit.ly/3ScEHLH
New research from Wilson Ray, MD (Center for Applied Neural Engineering), Jacob Greenberg, MD (Jacob Greenberg, MD, MSCI), Chenyang Lu, PhD, and colleagues shows that new machine learning methods can more accurately gauge how patients may recover from lower back surgery.: bit.ly/4bLquOj WashU McKelvey Engineering
