SOPHOMORE SPOTLIGHT SO RHP JT Adams 4 seam: 89-93 T95 (18.8 IVB) 2 seam: 88-92 (19.8 HB) SL: 81-84 CB: 74-76 (-9 IVB) CH: 82-85 (21.4 HB) JT was in the rotation all season as a freshman, posting a 6-1 record. Electric stuff and projects as a starter at the next level.

SOPHOMORE SPOTLIGHT SO LHP Reese Kortum- 6’5” 225 2 seam: 85-87 T88 CT: 84-87 CB: 69-71 (2331) CH: 75-77 Reese started 5 games as a freshman, posting a 4.24 ERA in 23.1 IP. His uniqueness allows him to miss barrels and he continues to climb in velocity.

SOPHOMORE SPOTLIGHT SO RHP Isaak Crittenden FB: 88-92 T94 (19.7 IVB) SL: 76-78 CT: 79-82 SPL: 79-80 Isaak was a starter as a freshman, posting a 2.9 ERA with 62 K’s in 53 IP. He was one of the most consistent SP’s in the conference, and looks to build on that this spring.

SOPHOMORE SPOTLIGHT RS-FR LHP Nick Lay 4 seam: 90-92 T93 2 seam: 90-92 (-18 HB) CB: 77-78 (19 HB) CH: 81-83 Nick has electric stuff and some of the highest potential in the conference. We expect him to play a major role for our pitching staff this spring.

SOPHOMORE SPOTLIGHT SO LHP Tyler Carnes FB: 82-84 T86 CH: 73-75 SL: 75-77 CB: 69-71 Tyler saw time out of the bullpen as a freshman throwing 9.1 IP with a 2.89 ERA. He stays out of the middle and executes pitches with the best of them. Continues to climb in velocity as well.

SOPHOMORE SPOTLIGHT RS-FR Scout Jellison- 6’3” 210 FB: 86-89 T91 CH: 80-82 SL: 74-76 Scout redshirted for us last year and made the most of it, improving every part of his game. We expect him to play a big role for our pitching staff this spring.

SOPHOMORE SPOTLIGHT RS-SO SS Owen Rush Owen was our everyday SS last season putting up one of the best defensive seasons we’ve seen at the position, while also batting .331. He has continued to improve and we have high expectations for him this spring.

SOPHOMORE SPOTLIGHT SO C Ty Galusky 1.81-1.88 pop time, .997 fielding %, 15 caught stealing, 101.8 EV. Ty caught 50 out of our 58 games last season and is a mature player on both sides of the ball. We expect him to be a middle of the order bat for us again this spring.
