This makes sense if the tour is to go ahead this year. Big supporter base for both teams living in Aus so full stadiums. Also Aus already have experience dealing with touring teams during COVID.

My understanding is RA would only want the costs covered of playing the matches. The rest is split between SA & Lions. Definitely wouldn’t hurt to help drive interest in rugby in Aus which is a positive.
