Let’s focus on the things we can control, influence and change and let go of the things we can’t, they weigh us down #CircleOfControl

I was reminded last week about Moir's work (1999) on the Phases of a first year teacher. This is 22 years old, but still relevant. Take reassurance that how you are feeling now is ok, & it is likely to change. The first year is tough, be kind to yourself #YouGotThis

Life is cruel. We’ve a beautiful soul who’s a recent care leaver staying with us when not at Uni. He just had his bag stolen with all his Christmas presents & his laptop he bought in it. If anyone out there has a MacBook surplus to requirements that you want to donate please DM

6. We need to urgently increase funding and staffing for NHS if it is expected to cope with regular Covid surges *and* existing backlogs *and* years of understaffing and not enough money. This includes *supporting* existing staff to stay..! 8/13

I don’t quite know how to phrase this without seeming to point a finger, but 🤷🏿‍♂️ we need white people to read this book, buy this book, and share this book, with other white people in particular…

Letters don’t ‘make’ sounds. Letters were invented to indicate some of the sounds people already made. However, the way people speak, changes and varies from place to place, so sometimes the letters don’t indicate sounds or indicate sounds that are different from place to place.
