Tonight my wife and I celebrate 21 years of marriage. Through thick and thin and hardship of any and all calibre. I know im not a handsome fella, so i think it's flat out Stockholm syndrome by this point. Either that or I married the most stubborn human being ever.

I have never been good at good wrapping. So instead I decided to wrap with wood. This gift is for a dear friend made from scrap after previous projects. No screws or nails, all glue and dowel rods holding it together.

My little girl wanted a "big-girl's Bible" for Valentines Day. Aside from the fact that I couldn't be more proud of her, I got her the exact type she wanted. So she can take explanation notes in the margin areas. Since then, at least weekly, we have a private study session.

The last big storm we had this tower was causing me a good bit of anxiety. So I got my ropes out, made a safety harness, tool hoist, and pulley. Climbed up and cut this guy down in 6-ish foot sections. I'm glad it's down, but I can't wait to never do that again.

I work hard, because I want to. I care for and teach my daughter, because it's my job. I lead my family into church, because I want to set an example for them. I always carry a gun because I refuse to be, or allow my family to be a victim. I pray, because I know we need God.

Doing some routine maintenance and completely forgot about the time "past me" decided to start taking care of "future me". Thanks bro!

I got handed (gifted) a Husqvarna riding mower a little while ago. I'm no mechanic, but i know my way around an engine. New battery and had to take the ignition assembly to a lock smith to get a key made. After that and a LOT of cleaning, it runs and cuts quite well.

I don't know if you have ever done it, but steak/pork cooked over a wood fired grille is simply amazing. Charcoal is good, propane is fast, but actual wood is life changing. Yeah I know my pit bricks and organization need some love. Its on my to-do list.

I know it's late but the hat was my Fathers day gift from my little girl. That hawk/bird/angry looking SOB perched up on my fence like he owns the neighborhood.

Had a water pipe bust some weeks back. Never was a drywaller or finisher but I'm trying my hand at it. Got the pipe fixed, and following advice from a pro at drywall and mud work. I need this for my own education.

The month of June sucked at my house. Air conditioner went out the same day as the heat wave smacked the state region with a heat wave. A dear friend of mine came to the rescue a few days later to get me back up and running. Reminded me of those afghan days in summer time.

Got gifted a non-running riding mower to see what I could do with it. New battery, new gas, spark test, new key made and a lot of cleaning (the ant colony that inhabited it) later and the dude runs and cuts great. I might sell my beloved John Deere but haven't yet on that.

Sometimes you just have to make your own entertainment.
