Thank you Elaine Sevier for being the best co-author, and to all the nice Northeastern coop students I work with. And thanks for Gord Fishell who bought me a cake 🎂😉

The Fishell lab fishelllab.hms.harvard.edu Gord Fishell at the Broad Institute Broad Institute is hiring a computational associate. You will work with scRNAseq, scATACseq, spatial transcriptomics and more to learn about interneuron and developmental neurobiology! Please DM me/RT!

Neurogliaform cells are probably the least studied type of interneurons. My dear lab mate Shuhan Huang has spearheaded the study performing in vivo two-photon imaging of these interneurons, capturing them in action during visual stimuli and locomotion.

Our findings demonstrate how pyramidal neurons guide the development of different interneuron subtypes. Biology never fails to amaze me - a profoundly intricate and adaptive journey culminating in exquisite precision. Gord Fishell Min Dai

Updated how pyramidal neurons impact specific interneuron subtypes. Turns out spontaneous activity, Wnt signaling in Parvalbumin Interneurons and integrin-signaling in Somatostatin neurons are the culprits! Also see how optimal transport tracks identity.biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
