So proud of my students who finished their beaded poppies in time to wear them for our school's Remembrance Day Service. We laid our semaa in the small courtyard off our classroom and gave our thanks to all of those who serviced and continue to do so. Nmiigwetchwendam 🧡

Today we began our Minidomnenske Unit (beading) and the students are excited. We explored the use of beads culturally and revisited beading projects in our board that they took part in. This year they will pattern in multiple individual ways & use #Anishinaabemowin ❤

We're in the middle of a tenzies round-robin dice tournament in Ojibwe! Not only is it fun, but it helps build community in the classroom, allows students to interact with online hybrid learners in a fun way & helps me assess where all students are at in their learning!
