Right now, NOLA DAP barges are trading at an even $700. December 2026 corn is at $4.63. That means this is taking 151 bushels of corn to pay for 1-ton of DAP. This is the 2nd worst/highest ratio seen in history, only behind 2008. Unfortunately, little hope of summer resets.

Great breakdown by Ashley. To make matters worse, hard to see the major fertilizers resetting lower than last year. Anything is possible, but not looking likely today. (To be read sarcastically) Fortunately, all the other inputs are cheaper...

Market is already pushing phosphate for the fall at obscenely high prices. No doubt other inputs just around the corner. I'll be covering the why and what to expect in the June farmer fertilizer newsletter. Still time to sign up: subscribe.stonex.com/fertilizer?_gl…

I need input from everyone. How close to closing time is it OK to arrive to a restaurant? I think I've asked this before but would like a review!! For context, local Mexican restaurant closes at 9:30. We were going to leave to be there at 9:15 but I thought that was too

Something I've been pushing for years for is happening. CME is rolling out a smaller contract size (10 tons) for NOLA urea. Idea is to make the contract digestible for farmer participation and for retailers to more easily keep positions hedged. More details to come.

Well, for a moment today, I thought the repeal of tariffs might help lower U.S. fertilizer price ideas. It was fun, positive news while it lasted.

Some good insight from Arlan regarding the budget bill and how it will impact Ag commodities. You know, the things that really matter to farmers! Good listen if you have 10ish minutes.

With NOLA DAP barges now at $700 and Dec '25 corn sitting at $4.41, the current ratio sits at just under 159. 2008 still holds the record for this time of year...at just under 163. Today's value is only 4 bushels better than the worst ever seen. Not good.

I'm halfway through the June farmer fertilizer newsletters. Trying to get it done and out tomorrow. Going to hit on high phosphate prices, what EU blocking Russian ferts will mean for EU farmers, summer outlooks, and more. Sign up here: subscribe.stonex.com/farmer-fertili…

FYI, if you are registered for the farmer fertilizer newsletter, I just hit send about 15 minutes ago. Newsletter and video links included. I'll have a similar phosphate message as the one I had for UAN early this year... subscribe.stonex.com/farmer-fertili…

Worst issues with the 2025 #corn crop continue to center on #Ohio. As the graphics show (source: USDA), they are the furthest behind schedule on planting and have the lowest rated #corn crop of the major producers. #oatt

Global phosphate values keep rising. India had been buying in the $750's delivered. Jordan just sold a vessel at a similar price...fob their loading. It's bad...and getting worse.

Here it is. Your wish come true. Literally the only thing you have been looking forward to this week. My weekly StoneX YouTube video on fertilizer markets. youtu.be/28Zuk4JKsrI?si…

3+ inches of rain yesterday north of Kansas City. Some heavy, but should soak in nicely. Crops will still need a couple drinks, but we have the start of another big crop around here. Now to spend too much time watching forecasts for the rest of the growing year...

For those of you farming in Europe, this article pertains to you. We have been saying that if the EU blocks Russian fertilizer, it is going to impact EU fertilizer prices (not for the better). It may not be as easy to replace those tons as some think dw.com/en/eu-still-bu…

My cousins that live on Big Island, Hawaii finally made it to an eruption in time to see the lava fountain! USGS has a great livestream video of it if you are into that sort of thing: scontent-det1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/…

Just a general fertilizer take: The entire fertilizer complex feels like it is fighting harder than usual to keep values high. However, they haven't met current farmers who are likely worse off than in many years. This summer is going to be interesting...
