Exactly my point. Unless you know the game intimately and have played the position for a long time you wouldn't understand the intricacies that Yadi was a master at.

Correct. Baseball generations have changed. You had dead ball era, steroid era, modern era, etc. One of my catching coaches played for Yogi Berra. Yogi's catching style, or really, in general, the old catching style wouldn't be applicable today.
