Judges be like, I’m afraid to sign an order to either keep a child home or return the child; b/c if the child gets hurt, I don’t want my name in the paper. But judges are never afraid to separate a child from their family, placing them with a stranger for the same reason. Hhmmm!

Can someone please explain to me - how a Judge takes the word of a child’s attorney & foster family to say the child doesn’t want to go home, but then in the same breath says the child is too young to come to court.

Wonder if Mayor Eric Adams is going to take today as an opportunity to dress up, and pretend to be someone other than his normal scary systemically problematic self.

In NY Judges say a 10 year old child is too young to come to family court to be a part of the conversation that will determine if their rights to be with, know and be loved by their family gets terminated. But those same judges will bring a child to court on criminal charges.
