Excited to share our new bioRxiv which introduces 𝘾𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩-𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝘿𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 (𝘾𝙐𝙍𝘽𝘿)— an approach for inferring brain-wide interactions using data-constrained recurrent neural network (RNN) models. A thread 👇🏽 (1/8) biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Last April, we launched the COVID-Dynamic longitudinal study (coviddynamic.caltech.edu) to characterize 1000+ U.S. residents’ psychological, emotional, attitudinal, and behavioral changes across 2020. We are thrilled to announce our 1st preprint! psyarxiv.com/75eyx/

Interested in mechanisms of epilepsy-related cognitive deficits in humans? We show specific effects of SOZ in right MTL on visual recognition memory behaviorally (ROC slope but not AUC change) and neuronally (only memory selective cells in rMTL affected). onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/ep…

Exciting day today: My first paper is up on Arxiv!! I’m a big boy now arxiv.org/abs/2201.12689 We’re extending a bridge between condensed matter and algebraic geometry, built out of quantum matter on *non-euclidean crystals* Let me tell you about it, in a friendly 🧵! 1/

I'm so happy to announce our paper out in @nature today! We show that people who grew up in rural areas have better spatial navigation skills than those raised in cities, particularly for cities with grid-pattern streets. 1/12

Delighted our latest finding! We discovered that abstract representations emerge in the human hippocampus when learning to perform inference. This change in neural geometry is due to disentanglement of discovered latent and observable variables. nature nature.com/articles/s4158…
