Exciting to see this published! Our investigation on maternal response to HIIT and MICT has demonstrated similar glycemic results; suggesting that HIIT is well tolerated during pregnancy! We did not observe ANY adverse effects of HIIT or MICT exercise!! It's time to change the conversation about high intensity during pregnancy......!!! Lots more work to do - we're on it! 📢HOT OFF THE PRESSES Pregnancy complications (preeclampsia, GDM) ⬆️ the risk of future CVD & diabetes risk. The postpartum period is an opportunity to reduce risk through lifestyle changes. Physical activity and breastfeeding have been proposed as important modifiable factors.
