6 June 1880 | Jewish woman, Ester Chajes, was born in Brzeżany (then in Russian Empire, today Ukraine). She emigrated to Belgium. She was deported to #Auschwitz from Kazerne Dossin in Mechelen on 18 August 1942. She was murdered in a gas chamber after arrival selection.
