Great piece by my co-author Juan Carlos Suárez and Owen Zidar. And I am also glad to see my honorable mentions at the end. Developing country and emerging economies also have many interesting PF questions. :)

10 years ago my PhD advisors (+&others I admire) co-authored a symposium in the Journal of Economic Perspectives on #tax & #development. Their work was a big source of inspiration for me. Fast forward and we now have a similar JEP sympo on the new knowledge frontier in #Tax4Dev.

I learned a lot working on this paper. Admin tax data and experimentally allocated public infrastructure allowed us to measure small differences between these lines. Yet there is so much more to learn about the level and slope in this graph!
