A principle should be that benefit levels relate to the cost of what it is contributing towards. Multiple freezes to LHA means renters in need of support are hostages to rent inflation in their area, and as Joseph Elliott shows, rates across the piece are hopefully out of kilter.

The Renters' Rights Bill has been APPROVED by the House of Commons! This is the final step before the Bill receives Royal Assent, which we expect shortly. No more amendments, no more debate - renters' rights are coming.
