Local wildlife. Still a few male Common Blue butterflies (Polyommatus icarus) in the wildflower area at West Sutton station, though some are now beginning to look a bit worn. #londonwildlife

Garden wildlife. A couple of photos of my big and long staying Segestria florentina, taken last Sunday. She's now been living behind the lamp by my my front door for over 17 months! #londonwildlife

Garden wildlife. I found this Cricket yesterday, thinking it was probably a Southern Oak Bush-cricket, but having looked again I think it's a Speckled Bush-cricket (Leptophyes punctatissima). The 'song' it makes is one I often hear in the garden when using my bat detector too!

Sutton Peregrines. I spent some time on site late yesterday, initially seeing 2 juveniles, then 3, then in poor light as it was getting dark, from around 21.20, I'm fairly sure I saw 5 different ones, all in these photos taken about the same time! The adult male was present too.
