Missing data can cause of bias - but VERY few papers have any analysis beyond a crude 'percentage missing'. Different 'patterns of missingess' have different potentials for bias. I didn't really know much about this - until I met Evgeny Mirkes le.ac.uk/people/evgeny-… A 🧵:
