Happy to share authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S10… Cell Press Immunity. CD4 T cells contribute to protection against #TB in a reinfection macaque model by interacting with CD8s to generate an anti-inflammatory granuloma environment. Kudos to first authors Sharie Ganchua and @joshuabromley21

Happy to have made a contribution to this excellent work by @OwenKLeddy and Bryson Lab. A super and cool approach to identifying TB vaccine candidates.

What a week! One word to summarise the 7th Global Forum on TB Vaccines: #Optimism. The prospect of imminent adolescent & adult TB vaccines gives the global TB community hope for a future without #TB. Sentiments also shared by Sir Jeremy Farrar, WHO Chief Scientist. #7GF #EndTB

Check out new story with collaborators at TGEN. CRESTA, a new approach to identifying Mtb antigen specific T cells with high order of magnitude. Happy to have played a role.

The optimism of controlling TB is dampened by uncertainty of NIH funding. TB research has come from so far, with sparse but significant successes. It is sad to see all that likely go to the drain and plenty of careers ruined. #KeystoneTBsymposium

Significant progress in TB control efforts over recent years. The future of these achievements shouldn’t be in the balance because of uncertainty in funding modalities.

I draw lots of inspiration from from advocates - people who living with the conditions and diseases that keep scientists awake trying to control. Rebecca Denison’s presentation at CROI today was powerful today at #CROI2025

Recent Findings show that early T cells at the site of PPD antigen challenge are not Mtb-specific. Evolution of T cell responses in the tuberculin skin test reveals generalisable Mtb-reactive T cell metaclones biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
