📢New programme: MSc Advanced Imaging and Sensing. Prof Andy Harvey talks about our new programme in conjunction with UofG Engineering & UofG Computing Science Find out more ⬇ gla.ac.uk/postgraduate/t…

💥 Don't miss our seminar at the Advanced Research Centre, Seminar Suite 237B on May 25th, 1-2pm where Marco Aversa will discuss the ins & outs of diffusion models in medical imaging 🏥, and Daniela Ivanova will enlighten us on image restoration techniques 📸!

Hey everyone, Another colloquium here, and the theme is: how can we reduce the costs of our ML models? Join us for our next talks featuring Paul Kikland and @GiuliasNLWorld on energy efficient computing, from neuromorphic to reservoir computing!

Great to attend #AIUK and see how busy our University of Glasgow stand is 😍! Great to meet and work with such a fantastic team presenting University of Glasgow Centre for Data Science & AI 🚀🚀🚀🚀 Great event so far, Thank you The Alan Turing Institute for your hard work!

2 Days to go for the Machine Learning in Science Conference 2024! We're thrilled to host these insightful discussions on the impact of machine learning across different disciplines! Fani Deligianni

Diffusion as a confinement mechanism, can guide light around bends and with 10-100x higher transmission through completely opaque materials. Works also for heat and neutrons! Great work with Kevin Mitchell, Extreme Light, UofG PhysAstro nature.com/articles/s4156…

Researchers from UofG PhysAstro led by Daniele Faccio have discovered an entirely new way of controlling and guiding light, inspired by the way sunlight passes through clouds. Read more about their work, published in Nature Physics today, here: gla.ac/4hrKmJI

The work, published this morning in Nature Physics and reported in New Scientist institutions.newscientist.com/article/245418… sheds new light on waveguiding through opaque diffusive materials like resin (pictured) snow, fog and human tissue.
