XXII RAITH GDNS, A3. I don't think I've ever been so enthusiastic about drawing a house before and I don't think I've ever had such an emotional response to a picture either. A great idea from one of the good guys. 🏠❤️✍️

Peden's Cove, A4. The River Ayr Way is littered with special places and this wee detour at Failford is absolutely wonderful and worth the visit. Iconic but I think I'd like to do something a little less dramatic next please... 🌳✍️❤️

Station Hotel, A4. Now sadly lost to time and neglect but it was a great challenge to get to draw this auld beauty. It was also lovely to be part of a nice sneaky surprise for a brilliant couple. 🚆✍️❤️

Milecastle 37, A4. Anyone who knows me, even a little, will know that Hadrian's Wall is my favourite part of antiquity. I'm fascinated by the lives and preoccupations of those who found themselves on or around this blasted frontier... that we now call Northumberland. 🧱 ✍️🥰

Roman Bridge, A4. This cheekily named 17th century bridge in Newton Stewart drew me in whilst I was visiting some other sites doon the road last week. Evidently not Roman but absolutely wonderful. I dragged throughserious woodland to find it and I think it was worth it.

To draw or not to draw? Whether tis nobler in the Deany to suffer the stings and punctures of outrageous undergrowth, Or to take inspiration among a sea of dense foliage, And by opposing, fall over hunners in the mud. I hope you like all of this creative horror 😅 ✍️❤️

('Cause I gotta have) Faith (Waterfall). A3 Not sure if this is shite or tremendous but I do know that I loved visiting this waterfall on the Grey Mare's Tail almost as much as I enjoyed drawing it. Probably wins the award for most marks made on an A3 piece of paper...

Linlithgow Palace & St Michael's. A3. One of my favourite pieces of the year and one of my favourite places. Commissioned by one of the good guys as a wedding present for the weekend. I hope there was jousting at it... 🏰⚔️⛪️

Saint Columba. A2. Since the light of this window poured over me, all I wanted to do was imitate its beauty. Since I tried, all I've wanted to do was try again. I'm not a religious person, but I'm extremely susceptible to everything that has drawn so many to Iona.

Very ready for a break... It's a big exhibition year and I've been very fortunate to be busy with commissions too, so I'm absolutely burst. On the first leg of what will hopefully be a magical week for the boys and maybe Mum and Dad too. Thanks for everything. ❤️

St Monan's Windmill, A4. I was recently commissioned to draw this beauty for an an auld, romantic pal who got engaged there. It was a great excuse to explore the enchanting East Neuk. Congratulations to Alan and Nicki, who tied the knot last week. 💍🏰 ❤️

Blackpool Tower, A4. Pretty sure Maxwell and Tuke designed this bloody big seaside marvel specifically to drive me up the wall. Blackpool is an assault on the senses comparable to New York City alone. Happy Friday! 🗼✍️⛱️
