In 2020, then mayor Tory unveiled the 8.5 km RapidTO dedicated surface transit lane on Eglinton E. 19 more were promised. By the end of 2023, we were supposed to have 3 new operating transit priority lanes. That never happened. Here’s the full list of routes:

I think the message here should be: 1) We need more GO stations at places like Spadina, Sherbourne, etc. to make GO trips to places that aren't the financial district more compelling 2) We need way better and faster TTC service in the centre (fix the damn streetcars)

This is absolutely nonsense. Sorry, but the housing sector is the most state-controlled sector in the country. In Ontario, there is literally not a single product with higher tax rates. 30%+ of the cost of new housing is taxes. And that doesn’t account for highly restrictive

This is a take everyone needs to hear. The Avenues and Major Streets policies are progress for what is allowed to be built. But they’ve been neutered by rules that, when combined with “urban design guidelines” render a lot of new buildings ugly/non-urban. But people will

Who should get priority? A few cars or 100s of transit riders? Ask Councillors to give transit the green light: ttcriders.ca/greenlight This video (taken yesterday at Leslie & Eglinton) shows an Eglinton Crosstown vehicle waiting at a red light while a few vehicles turn left.

Most of the #TTC slow zones are on at-grade ballasted track, suggesting issues with ballast settlement. TTC Customer Service should buy some new rail tampering, track surfacing, and dynamic stabilization railcars to rail tamper for faster and smoother rides. Mayor Olivia Chow 🇨🇦 Jamaal Myers

Ever sat in a streetcar, stuck at a red light, while cars turning left zoom past? Now imagine that happening on the brand-new Eglinton Crosstown and Finch West LRT lines that cost billions of dollars. TTCriders

The train was 15min away on short final and 6 mins away when I got off the plane. Still made it 💅 Real cities have an airport train etc.

We need to remove street parking on arterials, and get streetcars and busses out of mixed traffic. There is finally a chance to reshape Bathurst and Dufferin with transit priority lanes. This is a huge opportunity and the city needs to hear the public's support.

Albertans seem confused so let me summarize the Clarity Act. To secede from Canada a Province must have: 1) A clear referendum question 2) A clear majority in Alberta 3) 7 out of 11 Provinces and 50% of the provinces population to support this Good luck with #3.

Tired of slow, unreliable and overcrowded buses and streetcars on Bathurst Street? Come speak up at an upcoming consultation in support of transit-only lanes to get transit riders moving!

The roll plans for the Hamilton LRT have been released. Essentially they’re a detailed view of how the infrastructure will be built. Some cool details, like a train storage area at Scott Park. Check them out here: assets.metrolinx.com/image/upload/v… #HamOnt

Damian W.K. Baranowski Metrolinx should really consolidate/rename station names with local transit operators. It's really unhelpful to those who are unfamiliar with the area. Eglinton GO ≠ Eglinton TTC Richmond Hill GO ≠ Richmond Hill YRT/VIVA Bloor GO ≠ Bloor TTC but Kennedy GO = Kennedy TTC
