2nd thunderstorm today Is this area feeling OK? Wow😍

Strong support from ensembles for a very warm period. Has the hallmarks of a heatwave alright. Looks very slack though with high pressure centred away from us after the weekend, could be thundery in nature rather than clear blue skies day after day.

Big CG lightning bolt from the thunderstorms that passed through Bedford this morning.

It seems likely that the hot weather will return from Thursday onwards with many areas across the UK likely to reach heatwave criteria. 🥵 Uncertain how long / how hot it’ll get but a good few days >30°C seems plausible.
