Justice Department prosecutors alleged in federal court on Wednesday that Vilas Laatsch, a civilian IT worker at the Defense Intelligence Agency, attempted to transmit classified national security information to at least two foreign governments.

Judge Alston scheduled a status conference for July 23rd at 10am.  Mr. Laatsch’s family was present in the courtroom and Judge Alston told them he would try to speed up the process but to try to be patient.
