Remember when Micah Richards pointed out that Paul Pogba made four assists v Leeds… Graeme Souness replied: “We expect that from a 100 million man” Liverpool’s 125m Florian Wirtz… Crystal Palace - G/A 0 Bournemouth - G/A 0 Newcastle - G/A 0 Arsenal - G/A 0 Silence.

Hard not to feel for Djokovic in this purgatory….He’s legit the third-best player in the world - still too good to walk away… But the two guys ahead of him are just too young /physical/ tough… What’s the 38-year-old unrivaled champion to do?

Djokovic is still comfortably better than every other player on the Tour but there's no way he's beating both Alcaraz and Sinner to win another major. A strange sort of limbo that makes it hard to walk away but impossible to achieve what he wants.

José Morgado As a curious fact: This is the first time in Novak Djokovic's career that he has lost in the same round of four Grand Slams in the same year. He has participated in the Grand Slams, since 2005.

Djokovic is drifting in limbo. Still miles better than everyone else on tour but there's no way he's getting past both Alcaraz and Sinner to win another major. Hard for him to walk away because he's still at a good level - but not good enough to achieve what he wants.

For the first time in the Open Era, the same two players will play three different Grand Slam finals in the same season. Carlos Alcaraz & Jannik Sinner. Roland Garros Wimbledon US Open

2024 AO - Sinner 2024 RG - Alcaraz 2024 WIM - Alcaraz 2024 USO - Sinner 2025 AO - Sinner 2025 RG - Alcaraz 2025 WIM - Sinner 2025 USO - Alcaraz The fact that Sinner got one on the grass and Alcaraz got one on the hard courts only makes this more intriguing for 2026.
