Know what else is not awesome? This (common) scenario: 1. Kid falls behind in reading at school. 2. Kid diagnosed with reading disability. 3. Kid brought to reading tutor to shore up reading weaknesses. 4. Tutor gives explicit phonics instruction. 5. Kid reads just fine.
